Thanks for the reply. Integration with metamask for private key management would be a great future feature. For example, the xdai chain on poa network allows you to use the same wallet and address by simply changing metamask to point at their rpc address. Would be really nice to manage both my staked and not staked loom using my ledger nano s (through their metamask integration) Thanks again!

Team just a usability suggestion on Plasma Dashboard. Initially when its fetching validators it should show 'fetching list' instead of saying 'no validators'. Also when it shows balances like staked amount etc. it currently shows zero and then update the amount. It's better if it spins while fetching and show zero if nothing is found. Every time it shows zero staked when the page loads and then it updates the amount after a few seconds.

yeah I'm not 100% sure. I'm able to claim rewards, even though 2 weeks aren't up. Maybe the LOOM team can clarify that one, but my understanding was that new rewards would be claimable every 2 weeks (could be wrong)

Hey @Sprigs, great question regarding the recommendation. I highly recommend asking it in the @loomdelegators channel. We got a bunch of delegators there (everyone is welcome to join, validators as well). The pinned message has a link to each validator's website, you can sign up for their email newsletter and ask them questions that way. I've found all of the validators I've interacted with to be very responsive.

Its easy to miss if only way is to hover over. 2) When token are staked and in update status waiting for election cycle, in the updated area there should be a note saying 'Waiting for next eleciton cycle to go to staked status..'

hey Oliver, we got a dedicated (unofficial) channel for delegators at @loomdelegators (anyone and everyone welcome to join). The pinned message there shows a link to all the validators' website, you can sign up for their email newsletter and interact with them to get a feel for them. Alternatively, we also have a few validators in the channel and you can either interact with them or ask the delegators who they've delegated with. Cheers!

To be a validator you need a ton of LOOM and infrastructure. There’s a difference between being a validator and a delegator. I think you mean being a delegator. You can delegate/stake any amount of loom, no identification required

Its for the mapping and transfer. You still need to save your plasmachain key phrases. In the future we will roll out the ability to recover funds via ethereum wallet in case you lose the plasmachain wallet

We're not having any issues related to this. While both EOS and LOOM are dPoS, we have completely different implementations and nothing is in common.

Yeah of course, I more meant if it'll be a future challenge to tackle once usage increases and the chain has been running for a while. Currently on EOS all but 5 BPs have stopped storing full history due to the chain being 3.5-5TB (depending on which sofware is used to store the data) so they're researching on how to improve on that.

Yeah exactly, better off keeping an eye on it early. I'm fairly sure parts of the research occurring around it in EOS will one day become relevant to Loom (although probably not for a while yet).

Also this is why we believe in a multi chain solution. That way super important data like tokens worth billions of dollars aren't treated with the same importance as moves in a PVP game match. For things like game matches you don't need to store all the data indefinitely, but for financial transfers you do. Hence why we think multiple specialized chains connected by a performant hub (PlasmaChain) is the optimal approach.

I have my LOOM on a LEDGER ETH address and basically I don‘t want to use metamask. So even if I transfer the LOOM to metamask and from there to Plasmachain (=link the Plasmachain account to the metamask address) i will not be able to remap the Plasmachain account to the LEDGER ETH address once the LEDGER support comes. You have some long term retrieval on cloud storage. But after a certain amount of time the data really isn’t that useful

On another note test withdraw back to mainnet also worked. I used the default low gas and took about 7 minutes. Good job team. All we need now is a proper explorer of plasmachain where we can search by account, transaction not just block number. Once we pull the account it should show transactions of that account separated by cross-chain vs within plasmachain and also of course should show current balances of all the tokens within that account. This will make it so usable and will definitely help adoption. Please keep it on the priority list. I know a lot is going on within Loom and team is super busy. But a friendly chain explorer (particularly since Loom has addressed caching and indexing of chain from the get go) will greatly benefit the community and the project. Please keep it on your list. I 'claimed' the reward first and then withdrew the claimed reward back to my mapped eth account. I had to be patient, the metamask popup cam after a few minutes and once I confirmed it in the metamask it took another 7 minutes. I had to keep the browser open entire time. Same, can see staking balances now, looks great. If you stake for a year, you can still withdraw the Loom that you earn? That's cool and unexpected. Thought you'd just get your Loom reward at the end of the year. But then question; how is the 20% reward calculated? If it's 20% calculated linearly, then if I re-stake my earnt loom, I will get more than 20% right?
