I have a question. Might be already answered but haven't seen it mentioned anywhere (I haven't done the zombie course yet 😅). Considering these games are all about "non fungible tokens". Do these have to be "initialized" on ethereum? With relative gas costs?

yes I agree, this is why I am so excited about Plasma chains. If I understand it correctly, you don't necessarily need to charge anything, as they are running on an "inflation based" DPos, that could be feeless. This would allow for people with ZERO eth balance to play, with no upfront cost. But maybe I misunderstand

It is just my general take from reading all over... for plasma chains you can read http://plasma.io/plasma.pdf (whitepaper by Vitalik Buterin and Joseph Poon) However Loom Network is basically an implementation of this, and their medium posts are Waaaay more understandable. DPos is how EOS and Steem(among others) work. This is how the DelegateCall and ZombieChain sidechains reach consensus... EOS can be fee-less, so I guess sidechains can too. I am not 100% sure on this part, but I really don't see why not. As @mcampbell77 said, tokens need to be initialized on the ethereum main chain only if they are transferred there. Meaning if you stay inside the sidechain there could be a fee-less game (although it would probably be wise to develop an alternative spam-prevention mechanism) again, this is my take on it. I am in no way an expert, and only understand half of what I read, so check with @mcampbell77 and DYOR 😀

I don’t think so it has increased If you are relating to price function of it Then yes 90+% of volumes comes through binance So for real price realisation we need more of binance size exchanges for more participation It’s just traders leaving the ground and we shouldn’t focus on it as we should focus on the long term value and existence of the project The future is bright

Yep, exactly. Our goal will always be mainstream adoption. So if there's such a huge membership demand to the point where most of the tokens are in use and none are being sold, we can always reduce the cost of membership (e.g. 0.9 tokens instead of 1 token), in which case everyone would have excess capacity to sell on the market to new users. But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

From my understanding, there will only be 1 Billion Loom tokens in existance, but there are around 606 million in circulating supply according to etherscan. First of all Africa is a contient, not a country. Second: If you want to trade, just get telegram. Easy as that. @mcampbell77 a technical question. It seems Loom is using Leveldb. Have you also considered Badger DB? Badger's performance particularly on the write side is reported to be a few times faster than leveldb. In the official Eth dev talsk also someone ported to badgerdb and ran tests. It was faster. Just bringing to your attention.

DelegateCall works similiar to Steem, there is a reward window where tokens are issued. The token has a 10% inflation rate that decreases each year until 10 years its down to 1% inflation. Similiar to blockchains like EOS, Ethereum and Bitcoin. Each time period your karma gets converted into tokens. Tokens will be availible for use for other functions on the site or to transfer onto mainnet for ERC20 tokens.
