Seems to me that, according to GDPR, the token transaction history of an address is considered personal information regardless of the fact that any information usefull to identify the address is stored anywhere

In this way the USA exchange is able to identify this citizen by his blockchain address and knows his transaction history. This could be considered a transfer of personal informatiom outside the EU, which is forbidden by GDPR...

Don’t mix up being personally identifiable and being GDPR compliant. Blind studies have data collection issues as well, they can’t just take data and code it with a random number as the person. They still need to adhere to data collection laws regarding informing users their data is being collected. That being said, if the ToS is good- there is no issue

I wanted also to bring up ownership with this new tech, games have life cycles and inevitably most of them will shutdown operation once reach a certain point, talking multiplayer mmo, traditional tos make this a slap in the face but no one can do much to retain their items and have usually a term to play until all is gone, with user ownership comes responsibilities as they could sue after shutdown if they cannot access the items as they own them, for average users just the code might not cut, tokens have images that bring the visual connection with their ownership, so I think the system needs to move to sort of forced ipfs or similar, or at least make it default, am I right or this concern is unfunded?

If for example in the next couple of year one of these current crypto games with token cards shutdown, they might be forced to keep the actual image server up indefinitely or risk to mess up with the card look in the wallet, and lots of people trade for the look, the logo, not just rarity and its card code

Marius I think they are creating multiple specific chains for different use cases and use sort of custom validation system between them to transfer coins, there is staking and validators paid by game companies staking a certain amount to make the validation between chains possible, basically you as game dev will have sort of ongoing bills of some sort if I get it right, not entirely sure

As the field matures you are likely to need a tos and lawyers, and once you market the game with ownership around items, you are likely need to put it in the tos, means legally binded, if the game screw up or the whole Ethereum network goes done, game company might be liable as the users own the items and cannot be accessed anymore, lookboxes al long as clearly regulated should be fine

Hey admins, Loom has some greatly interesting stuff that I would like to play with, but I'm having some trouble getting working. I'm trying out the truffle-dappchain-example and when trying to deploy to extdev it seems the networkid in the project is set to 'extdev-plasma-us1' but it gives back the error `The network id specified in the truffle config (extdev-plasma-us1) does not match the one returned by the network (9545242630824).` Changing the network id to the one in the error fixes the error, but causes problems down the line when using the gateway-cli. Did the network ids change for extdev? I can't seem to find anything about it online. Thanks!

Yeah, you can't change the chain ID, the network ID is supposed to be a hash of the chain ID to work around a Truffle limitation (or Web3, I forget which). Anyway, you'll want to use the network ID on that line you linked instead of the chain ID.

Completely agree, currently the crypto gaming environment has a lot of focus on the same people that play for years with currencies, mostly speculation, the platform and games around it needs to shape to bring in real gamers
