personally the coolest thing about blockchain technology for me is the ecosystem aspect it brings and the enduring quality of code that lives on it. In many ecosystems today, one of the largest risks is the company going under. If you are a system for the ownership of 100+ million dollar paintings, and your company runs out of funds and goes bankrupt - you cant say "woops, all the paintings are gone". More importantly this applies to ecosystems that have transactions flowing across them such as financial systems ect. I guess there is some concern that one day everyone will not want to support the Ethereum blockchain ecosystem and while the code may be enduring, it may be unusable on that regard. However this doesnt look to be the case if a large group of 100+ million people agree that the network is the standard

So on a side chain you can (for want of a better word) "decide" the rewards for miners - aka the reward is the incentive to mine. On the Ethereum network, there is a reward given to miners that are paid by the user as transaction fees. Fees on a side chain are whatever you make them to be - they can be free, but in that case people may not be incentivize to mine and you may have to do all the mining yourself (which makes the point of decentralization rather mute)

Yes, everything is stored in binary format. Use bytes and store whatever you want.

For complex data it isn't cost efficient. I found article, where author said that 1GB of data will cost about 8 millions $. The best way - using IPFS and store hash of data in contract. Should to say, that I've never used it in development yet, so if I wrong - feel free to correct me)

I believe Loom “sits on” & complements Ethereum like an extension and any project built on it will be utilising Ethereum. The others are 2 completely different platforms competing against Ethereum.

Say we would like to develop a DappChain, and our users will have to use our ERC20 tokens for stuff in our dapp. This ERC20 live in the Ethereum mainnet. Okay, I dont know what's happening, the more i read up on it online, the more questions I"'m getting. I have a private block chain running in the background with two nodes. Node A i mined with, as eth.blocknumber = 180. But node B has 106. I 'm trying to sucn node B but it keeps getting sync failed. I started a the miner again on Node A but it's taking forever to generate DAG.

Hey! So I am trying to deploy my own side chain using the loom network sdk. However, for a multi node setup, adding validators to the genisis file seems ok for a few nodes, but I don't know how it will scale. Why would you want to submit the hash of a PoS chain to lets say Ethereum? It's like saying our PoS algorithm does not provide any security. I mean Plasma makes sense for PoA systems, but what's the point with Plasma + PoS? It does not make any sense to me.
